Who we are
Shrisewa is a puja booking platform that connects devotees with verified pandits at consecrated temples across India. We operate as a registered partnership firm based in India. Our website is shrisewa.com.
Data we collect
- Identity data: Your name, family members' names, gotra (lineage), and phone number.
- Contact data: Phone number used for OTP-based login; WhatsApp number for delivery of puja video.
- Booking data: Puja selected, temple, scheduled date, add-ons (prasad, chadhava), and special instructions.
- Payment data: Transaction reference numbers. We do not store full card or bank account details — those are handled by our payment partners (PhonePe, Cashfree).
- Shipping data: Delivery address if you order prasad or chadhava to be shipped.
- Device data: IP address, browser type, and device identifiers for security and fraud prevention.
How we use your data
- To fulfill your puja booking and communicate the sankalp to the assigned pandit.
- To deliver your puja video and prasad as booked.
- To send booking confirmations, OTPs, and service updates via SMS and WhatsApp.
- To process payments and refunds.
- To detect and prevent fraud.
- To improve our platform and services based on aggregated, anonymized analytics.
Data sharing
We share your name, gotra, and sankalp details with the pandit assigned to your booking. We share your shipping address with our logistics partner (Shiprocket) when you order prasad delivery. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Data retention
We retain booking and transaction data for seven years as required by applicable accounting and tax law. You may request deletion of your account data by writing to us at the contact below.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, write to us at contact@shrisewa.com.
