About Shri Dwarikadhish Temple

Known as the crown jewel of the Pushtimarg Vaishnava tradition, this temple serves as the spiritual palace of Lord Krishna in his formal kingly role as *Dwarkadhish*. The current grand structure was constructed in 1814 CE by Seth Gokuldas Parikh, the royal treasurer of the Gwalior State, to institutionalize the daily eight-fold royal daily worship (*Ashtayam Seva*).
Why Devotees Believe
Passed down through generations of pilgrims
The Jhula Utsav (Swing Festival): During the monsoon month of Shravan (usually July/August), the temple becomes exceptionally magical.
The deities are placed on gold and silver-plated swings (Jhulas), and the entire temple is decorated beautifully.
Holi and Janmashtami: Being in Mathura, the celebrations here are legendary.
